Alec Baldwin Offered To Cut His Pay For Another Season Of '30 Rock'

Though Alec Baldwin has debated leaving '30 Rock' several times, the actor says he even offered to cut his pay to do another season of the NBC comedy.

The network announced in May that '30 Rock' will end after a shortened 13-episode final season.

"I offered NBC to cut my pay 20 percent in order to have a full 7th and 8th seasons of 30 Rock," Baldwin says on Twitter. "I realize times have changed."

In a recent interview, series creator and co-star Tina Fey said Baldwin had been openly hoping for an eighth season on set.

"Now not a day goes by that he doesn't go around to the crew and agitate for a season 8," Fey tells Entertainment Weekly. "'You've gotta change your minds!' It's like, 'It's not really up to me -- and also, no.'"

Baldwin won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2007 and 2008 for his role as network executive Jack Donaghy on '30 Rock'

The series began its final string of episodes last night with an episode titled 'The Beginning of the End'.
