ABC Apologizes For Confusing Priyanka Chopra With Another Indian Actress

ABC's 'Nightline' is apologizing for confusing the star of its new series, Priyanka Chopra, with another Indian actress.

Ironically, the network made the mixup in a feature about Chopra that was meant to familiarize American audiences with the actress who stars in new drama series 'Quantico'.

The feature included a clip from the Miss World pageant that was supposed to be Chopra. Except it was Yukta Mookhey, who won the crown in 1999. Chopra was the 2000 Miss World winner.

ABC apologized after several viewers pointed out the mistake and even sent it to the Bollywood star herself.

She responded by posting "LOL" and linking to another post that read "Whoops, ABC promoted their new show with a photo of the wrong Indian woman."

In the feature, Chopra also asked about prejudices she faced when she became the voice for NFL's Thursday night football in 2013 with her single 'In My City'.

"There was a lot of these terrorist comments that called me an 'Arab terrorist,'" she said. "I was offended on two accounts: one, why is every Arab a terrorist? And second of all, how am I an Arab? I'm Indian."
