50 Cent Explains His First Pitch Blunder At Mets Game: 'It Slipped!'

50 Cent is trying to explain his disastrous first pitch at the New York Mets vs. Pittsburgh Pirates game last week.

The pitch, which was called the "worst pitch ever" almost right after it was delivered, sailed wildly in a direction nowhere near the strike zone.

"It slipped! It slipped out of my hand," the 38-year-old says. "I'm not a professional pitcher, I make music."

"I actually got pulled over by New York City police, they pulled me over in my car, and he pulled me over and I said, 'I got my license, right?' Because I was a little nervous when he pulled me over."

""I was, like, 'Oh no, what did I do?' and then he said, 'You know that pitch was terrible.'"

The artist laughed at himself after he threw out the pitch: "I'm a hustler not a Damn ball player.... The sh-t almost hit the camera man, damn."

He hopes to Citi Field on June 14. But not to throw out a pitch. He will be performing for his new album, Animal Ambition.
